Urban Romance is not porn!

There is a vast difference between Urban Romance and Porn. I do not write porn. I write about Urban Romance the way it really happens. Everything I write has something to do with sex in a commited marital relationship. How can I write about relationships and not include sex or sexuality? It is a very real part of healthy marriages. How many Urban Americans are celibate.

Urban Romance is about more than just sex. It’s about relationships, intimacy and trust. It’s about revealing the consequences of stepping out of the bounds of your relationships. Yes, I have been known to push the envelope a time a two in my novellas. But who in life has never pushed the envelope? Every Christian has faced the struggle of backsliding. We make mistakes, we repent and we start the day fresh. My books reflect real life Christians and real life struggles with morality and commitment.

Urban Romance doesn’t involve out and out sex, it’s just a sensual, seductive writing style. Do not fear fellow Christians I am not being overly descriptive or pornographic. Please let’s not pretend we married folk don’t have sex on the regular in urban america. Let’s not pretend sex hasn’t invaded every aspect of urban culture from videos to advertisements. Let’s not pretend that marriages aren’t negatively impacted by the overtly sexual tone of our culture.

You will not see one of my novellas that does not show the consequences of unprotected sex, pre-marital sex and infidelity. But, don’t expect me to not include the reality of a loving relationship. I keep God first and keep it real. God knows all and sees all, you can’t hide and I refuse to pretend.

Urban Romance portrays how love really happens in Urban America. We meet, we struggle to remain chaste, we have sex, we fall in love, we commit to get married and then we struggle to remain chaste. That is the truth. If you like romance novels, try and UrbaNovella.
